Kent Waring

CEO & Director

Kent is the TOPIC Interiors CEO and one of its’ three Directors, and in this capacity oversees the operations of the company, formulates policies and planning while interfacing between the Board, employees and clients. He is also responsible for the management of the company’s financial and physical resources. In his capacity as Director for TOPIC Interiors, Kent oversees our major client’s projects.

Mitchell Waring

Director

Mitchell worked onsite as a Carpenter and Joiner, and then a Site Foreman for 8 years before founding his first shopfitting business in 1992. In 2003, he joined forces with his brother Kent Waring and friend Rodney Clark, and together they have built an award-winning business with TOPIC Interiors specialising in Officespace and Commercial interior fitouts. With qualifications in Building and Design, Mitchell ‘s onsite team leadership skills, vast experience and hands-on approach bring a wealth of knowledge and practicality to all of our projects.

Rodney Clark

Director

Rod has been involved in the construction industry for 23 years. He holds a Commercial Builders Licence and Certificate 3 in Occupational Health and Safety. He has vast experience in the building industry ranging from Project Management, Design, Estimating and sourcing product. Rod’s managerial capabilities ensure our TOPIC Interiors projects are completed with the required level of professionalism.

Ray Louey

CFO

Ray is an experienced Finance Professional up to CFO level with extensive management experience across the Construction, Retail, Financial Services, Manufacturing and Information Technology sectors. Experience of both strategic and operational areas built from a solid technical grounding and exposure to a diverse range of business and management practices both in Australia and in the UK. A financial leader with both public and private companies with strong business acumen to ensure businesses continue to operate on the right path to deliver financial and business objectives and long-term sustainable growth.

Dean Grima

Senior Estimator

Dean brings more than eight years estimating experience in the construction industry to TOPIC Interiors. He has developed strong relationships with his supplier network, which enables him to offer the right solutions for each and every project. Dean focuses on customer service and engagement both with clients and the entire project team. Combined with his technical knowledge and attention to detail, this means our clients receive the best outcomes every time. Dean has delivered projects for all of our key clients including: AMP Capital, CBRE, Dexus Goodman, EMR/29 Metals, GPT, ISPT, Latrobe University, Lend Lease, MCG/MCC, Mirvac, MMG Ltd., MOPT, Pace Development Group, Plan1 Project Management Consultancy and Vesparum.

Kate Bond

Contracts Administration Officer

Kate has recently joined our company & has 6 years of local experience working in construction and architecture, and holds a Master of Architecture from RMIT. During her career she has successfully led and managed various multi-residential and retail projects, overseeing the entire process from initial client briefing and concept development to construction documentation and contract administration. Collaboration with diverse consultants and contractors has been her crucial skill in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. She is highly proficient in preparing Town Planning applications and obtaining Building Permits as she has a vast knowledge of relevant industry regulations and authority requirements. One of her strong areas is tender preparation, having had vast experience with both calling the tender and participating in it. She is very passionate about presenting the company's capabilities and achieving success with all tender projects.

Brett Robinson

Senior Project Manager

As a certified Shopfitter (Cert III) and with a Diploma of Building from Masters Builders, Brett has been in the construction industry since 2005 and brings a high level of skills to this role. Importantly, he has held Senior Site Management positions for the last five years. He is known for his ability to communicate with everyone involved in each project, while retaining an ability to get things done under pressure. Brett has successfully undertaken various roles within the business including Joinery Installation and Site Foreman, and is well known for his attention to detail and managing people in high pressures environments with the right collaborative approach. He has extensive experience across projects for all of our clients including: CBRE, Crown Entertainment, Dexus, GPT, ISPT and Just Group.

Lara Campbell

Operations Manager

Lara heads up the Project Administration Team and is responsible for all project documentation. Working closely with the Project Managers, her open communication style ensures nothing gets missed! Lara has 22 experience in the industry, having spent time as a Project Manager herself, with the last 5 being employed by TOPIC Interiors. Latoya Thompson

Project Administration

Latoya assists in looking after all areas of our office administration for the Project Management Team. Always ready to take on detailed administrative tasks, she expertly manages all the necessary components of her busy job, taking great pride in her work and meeting deadlines.

Senior Interior Design Manager

An enthusiastic, collaborative and proactive Interior Designer, that leads a design team to help execute and ensure a projects vision become reality. 'Having multiple years of experience within the commercial and hospitality design sector, predominantly the workplace, and through my immersion in a range of diverse projects I have developed a strong portfolio of successful and thoughtful interior space'.

Maria Tumambing

Senior Interior Designer

Maria is a passionate and detail driven Interior Designer with 4+ years experience here at TOPIC Interiors. Working closely to support our lead designer, Maria thrives on collaborative work to ensure a projects initial design concept results in the best outcome possible. She is highly motivated by creating spaces that connect the user through meticulous spatial planning and layering of various materials and finished. Having being exposed to various phases of a project, seeing the end result of a project would have to be the most rewarding part of the job.

Karen Raharja

Interior Designer

A highly motivated and detail orientated junior Interior Designer with a desire to learn and grow further within the industry. 'Utilising design as a platform to transform my conceptual ideas into reality and to create meaningful and vibrant spaces for those that behold it.'

Eadie McKinnon

Interior Designer

Eadie is a passionate Junior Interior Designer with particular interests in architecture, art and design. She has completed a Bachelor of Interior Architecture, and aspires to grow and further develop skills in all areas of interior architecture. ’She enjoys “Empowering individuals through interior design by creating spaces which inspire creativity, connection and joy.” Having completed her first project for client Lendlease recently, designing a whole floor Business Suite, she has shown an exceptional eye for detail in delivering the brief.
